Pros:

Cons:
There aren't any side effects or negative parts that come along with this bike except one little issue that is very easy to fix and would have been better if they included it in the original design. The issue is that there is a lack of a kickstand which has to be purchased separately. See all KX85 Parts... Although this is a minor problem, it would have been better if Kawasaki included it because riders need to put their bike on some kind of support when they stop riding so that the dirt bike doesn't fall over.
The dirt bike may need to be adjusted after a few months for kids to keep having the same good results when riding. Adjustments are very easy but it is especially important for parents or older riders who are putting the bike together because there could be issues with the assembly of the dirt bike if they don't know what they are doing. Although this is an easy problem to fix, it can become dangerous if not handled properly.
Conclusion
The good outweighs the bad with this dirt bike. It really doesn't matter what age you are or how much you want to spend because Kawasaki has made a great dirt bike that will get kids started on riding and check it off their list of things to buy when they are older. The KX85 Performance is equipped with power, durability, and easy handling which will make the dirt bike last for years while riders are mastering their riding skills. I would definitely recommend this bike for kids because it can get them through about anything on a dirt bike track or in the trails.
