PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

RECON E-AHL (Exoskeleton Ankle Hyperextension Limit - Alberto Barozzi patented concept)
• Off-road boot designed and made entirely in Italy
• Cutting-edge technologies and innovative materials
• Revolutionary exoskeleton with Stainless Steel arms is the "protective cell" of the ankle and tibia
• Prevent dangerous twisting of ankles
• Allow to the rider an ideal control of dorsal and plantar foot flexion
• Ensures tibial/tarsal compartment defence
• Highest levels of comfort and performance

Ufo Plast is increasingly synonymous with protection safety, and with this same logic we present you with the RECON E-AHL (exoskeleton ankle hyperextension limit) off-road boot.
This Alberto Barozzi concept patented innovative product has been exclusively shown to protect the tibial/tarsal compartment and offers users absolute comfort.
This concept has been studied over several years through careful biomechanical analysis. Detailed knowledge of the needs and issues in use have made it possible to identify in detail the points set forth in the product's development.
This "Made in Italy" product has been created by a network of highly skilled professionals who have made it possible to express the concept innovations on the product.
A study of shapes, research of thermoplastic/fabric materials, engineering development, design, highly skilled Italian craftsmanship and strict testing in the laboratory and in the field all have allowed for the creation of this product, with methodological criterion that sets Ufo Plast products apart.

Technical-functional characteristics:

1) Ergonomically developed mid sole for comfort and foot stability. Studied for reduced treading, thus ensuring perfect support on footrests when feet are positioned on their soles.
2) E-AHL – an innovative stainless steel exoskeleton making up the "protective cell" in the tibial/tarsal compartment, developed with the following special features:
a_Pronation and supination foot support through lower arms
b_Tibia/fibula support through upper arms
c_Dorsiflexion personalisation system using special stoppers: 0° - 15° std - 11°
d_Biomechanical movement permitting extremely free movement
starting immediately with new boots
3) Davos Sole - high grip characteristics with a balanced design between motocross and enduro. Surprising lasting
wear.
4) Upper - thermoformed BAL (bioclimatic action low) with structure made from hypoallergenic, antibacterial polyurethane foam, studied to ensure improved comfort, high shock absorption power and proper ankle containment. Its reduced bioclimatic value is obtained thanks to special air "channels."
5) Internal boot leg protection - dual-compound for increased bike grip.
6) CA system (calf adjustment) boot leg - with 4 adjustment points to best adapt to calf volume.
7) Hooks - in anodised aluminium, with intuitive and efficient adjustment and closure thanks to the integrated "soft touch" component.
8) Toe thickness - reduced for easy and effective changing.
9) Tip - protective foam made of special plastic polymer for high toe protection. Its asymmetrical design has been studied to best suit the grip of the climbing gear lever and when inserting gears.
10) Heal lug - designed to offer maximum protection in the area and allow for effective gear changing with the heel in the start-up phase.
11) Vents - dynamic for proper ventilation.
12) Sole - in breathable shock-absorbing Eva.
13) Internal gaiter - with shape memory, breathable material with a waterproof outer film.
14) ADHM (assembly/disassembly home made) - independently managed support for substitutions of some components.
15) All materials are water resistant and anti-corrosive.

Technical analysis of the product
E-AHL (exoskeleton ankle hyperextension limit) is a revolutionary concept (Alberto Barozzi concept patented) developed according to biomechanical logic and aimed towards the improved stabilisation of the tibial/tarsal compartment. It has been studied to limit dorsiflexion stroke using special provided stoppers and to allow for support/prevention at the end of ankle movement when landing jumps or impact with potholes and for improved mobility in most movements from first use.

The stainless steel exoskeleton has been designed in detail to allow optimal integration with the thermoplastic material on the upper. A "containment cell" for ankle protection is obtained by orienting the 4 lower arms and the mid sole, stabilising it on pronation and supination but maintaining correct functional mobility.

The cavity of the two joints allows for the housing of the malleoli, thus obtaining superior shock protection. The two upper arms support the boot leg and confer optimal protection over the entire tibial/tarsal compartment.

The mid sole has been studied for best ergonomics and according to functionality requirements to make up for problems with use: reduced toe thickness, anti-shock silhouette for toes and structural footbed reinforcement.

The Davos Sol offers high grip characteristics on footrests and the ground, with a balanced design between motocross and enduro. Surprising lasting wear.

The protective foam tip is made of special plastic polymer for high toe protection. Its asymmetrical design has been studied to best suit the grip of the climbing gear lever and when inserting gears.

The Heal lug has been designed to offer maximum protection and allow for effective gear changing with the heel in the start-up phase.

The boot leg is made up of two semi-shells joined by the rear vertebra. The internal boot leg is dual-compound and the surface in contact with the bike boasts ideal density for improved grip (frame - side covers). The external boot let supports three of the 4 buckles and two dynamic aeration vents are provided.

Calf Adjustment, the innovative system for correct calf management, has been set on the rear vertebra.
It is possible to set the direction of the two semi-shells by means of the 4 holes.

The "skin" is in thermoplastic, certified and treated in accordance with industrial CEE criteria.

The upper, studied to obtain a correct ratio between containment and bioclimatics, has been constructed in hypoallergenic shape memory material. The thermoformed BAL (bioclimatic action low) with structure made from shock protection polyurethane foam, has been studied for shock absorption power and proper ankle containment. Its reduced bioclimatic value is obtained thanks to special air "channels."
